Almost $41 million in sales of OUTRIDERS on Steam in the first month since the release

The novelty from the People Can Fly studio - OUTRIDERS was released on April 1, 2021, and, according to GameSensor’s estimation, during the first month of release, Steam players purchased about 800 thousand copies of it. Sales during this time amounted to almost $41 million.

But despite these numbers, the rating of OUTRIDERS on Steam is average and is 3 stars out of 5. Due to the unstable operation of the server, a large number of crashes and freezes in OUTRIDERS, players on the aggregator website Metacritic gave it 5.7 points out of 10. Critics on the same website rated the novelty at 73 points out of 100 possible.

For the developer People Can Fly, the game is the most financially successful project on Steam: according to GameSensor’s estimations, OUTRIDERS sales account for about 90% of the total sales of all the developer's games.

Comparing the novelty with the other two games of the studio, we can say that the number of sold copies of OUTRIDERS in the first month of release is 4 times more than that of Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition for 5 years of sales and 16 times more than Painkiller: Black Edition, which has been sold on the platform for over 15 years.

Almost 65% of players who purchased OUTRIDERS on Steam speak English. 12% of the audience speaks German and almost 7% - is Chinese. The game also supports French, Spanish, Polish and other languages.
